Overview

After inviting a worker, use Manage on their row to update operations areas, location access, signing authority (office users), and optional job-costing labor rates.

Where: Business Settings → Manage Team → row Manage

Operations areas (operations workers)

In Access & Permissions, check or uncheck:

AreaPortal module
Field / Install/ops/field
Shop / Fabrication/ops/shop
Yard / Staging/ops/yard

At least one area must remain selected. Changes take effect on the worker's next sign-in (session may refresh automatically).

Dual-role office users

For Team Member / Salesperson / Manager profiles, the same checkboxes appear under Also performs. Office dashboard access stays; added areas unlock ops modules and the portal switcher.

Job title column

The team table Job Title column reflects assigned areas:

DisplayMeaning
OperationsOperations worker, field only
Field / Install + Shop / FabricationMultiple ops areas
Team Member + Field / InstallDual office + field role

Filter the list with Operations in the role dropdown.

Time tracking

Toggle Time tracking to let the user clock in, log hours, and submit weeks.

User typeWhere they log time
Operations workerOperations Portal → Time card
Office onlyAvatar menu → My time
Dual role (office + ops areas)Operations Portal time card or My time

Managers with approval access review submissions on Approve timesheets (Crew plan or higher).

Job costing labor rate

When job costing is enabled, set an optional Hourly cost override per person. Used for timesheet and clock entries when calculating job labor cost.

Tenant-wide per-function rates (field, shop, yard, office) live under Timesheets settings on Crew plan or higher.

Location access

Multi-location accounts: assign which company profiles the user can access and pick a default location.

Activate / deactivate

Deactivating removes login access but preserves history. Operations workers without portal access (roster-only) can always be reactivated without seat impact.
