Overview
Sign-in problems usually fall into password/access, team invites, or signing in with the wrong account type (office vs crew).
Sign in: Login
Forgot password
- Open Login and click Forgot password
- Enter the email on your Dirt Face account
- Check inbox and spam for the reset link
- Choose a new password and sign in again
Tip: Use the same email your admin invited — work aliases sometimes differ from what IT expects.
Too many login attempts
After several failed tries, Dirt Face may temporarily block sign-in.
| Fix | Steps |

| Reset password | Use Forgot password so you are not guessing |
| Clear saved password | Remove the old password from your browser password manager and type manually once |
Team invite not working
| Symptom | Fix |
|---|---|
| Invite email never arrived | Ask an admin to resend from Manage Team; check spam |
| Link expired | Admin sends a fresh invite |
| “Already have an account” | Sign in with that email, or use forgot password if you do not remember it |
| Wrong company after accept | Sign out and sign back in; confirm you used the invite link while logged out |

Crew vs office login
| Role | What you should see after login |

If a field worker sees the full office sidebar, their role or operations areas may be wrong — an admin should review assignments under Manage Team.
If an office user lands on the operations portal instead of the dashboard, check whether they have operations areas assigned or use the portal switcher to return to the office view.
Cannot access a feature
Permissions are role-based. An estimator may not see Billing or Business Settings; a crew user cannot open Estimates.
An admin can adjust roles under Manage Team.
Multi-location / wrong company profile
When Multi-Location is enabled, documents and lists filter to the active company profile in the header.
If data “disappeared,” switch the profile dropdown before assuming records were deleted.

- Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox
- Disable strict ad blockers on
dirtface.comif the login page fails to load - Private/incognito mode helps rule out stale cookies
