Overview

Dirt Face runs in the browser — there is no separate app store install required. The Operations Portal is built mobile-first for field, shop, and yard workers; the office dashboard works on tablet and phone but is easiest on desktop for estimating and admin work.

The office UI is responsive. Complex screens (designer, Smart Import, inventory reports) need more screen space — use tablet landscape or laptop when possible.

Add the site to your home screen for faster access:

  • iOS Safari: Share → Add to Home Screen
  • Android Chrome: Menu → Install app or Add to Home screen

Operations workers should use phones or tablets in the field.

After login, field workers land on Field schedule — not the office sidebar.

The header shows online/offline status. Some actions queue when connectivity is poor and sync when back online. If updates fail repeatedly, toggle airplane mode off/on or move to stronger signal before retrying.
